Animal Flower Cave

Animal Flower Cave – If you can navigate the steep steps into the cave, you can get up close and personal with the sea anemones which give their name to this spot. Swim in the rock pools.

Bathsheba

Bathsheba – The rugged east coast, where visitors come to breath the air, soak in the invigorating Bathsheba pools and feel alive.  It is breathtakingly beautiful. The main fishing village in St Joseph.  Attracts both local and international surfers.

Morgan Lewis Windmill

Morgan Lewis Windmill – The last sugar windmill to operate in Barbados, stopping in 1947. In 1962 the mill was given to the Barbados National Trust by owner Egbert L Bannister for preservation as a museum.

Harrisons Cave

Harrisons Cave – First mentioned in 1795. A magical underground adventure, a subterranean environment accessed on a tramway. Unmatched beauty. Crystallised stalactites and stalagmites

Farley Hill

Farley Hill National Park – Breathtaking scenery, set in the grounds of the once regal Farley Hill House. A mansion in ruins, tucked away in a forest of mahogany trees, high up on a hill.

Wildlife Reserve

Wildlife Reserve – Four acres of paths meander through a mahogany forest containing green monkeys and loads of sluggish red-footed turtles. Other creatures that may be spotted include brocket deer, iguanas and agoutis.

St Nicholas Abbey

St Nicholas Abbey – Plantation House, museum, rum distillery and steam train! Colonel Benjamin Berriger built the house in 1658. One of only three remaining Jacobean mansions left in the Western Hemisphere.

Huntes Garden

Huntes Gardens – Lush and unusual botanical garden. Created in the 1950’s by horticulturist Anthony Hunte in an curious sink-hole-like gully.

Andromeda Gardens

Andromeda Botanic Gardens – Named after the Green Goddess because, like its namesake, it is chained to the rock. For these Gardens, it is the coral stone rock of the east coast of Barbados.

Flower Forest – Originally Richmond Sugar Plantation, opened its doors in 1983 after design by Richard Coghlan of Kew Gardens. See the old copper boilers still in situ.
